In no particular order:
1. The OED - Thank you, OED, for helping me write several new and rewrite several old poems today!
2. Jason Bredle's book, Standing In Line for the Beast - I'm so glad that I spent the money that I do not have on this hilariously brilliant collection!
3. Mugglecast, courtesy of Mugglenet.com - Yes, this is more mentioning of Harry Potter, but I'm still in the midst of a Harry Potter hangover that will take a little while to wear off.
4. The Opposite House, Helen Oyeyemi's amazing follow-up to her AMAZING debut novel The Icarus Girl - This woman is about my age and she's already written two novels and two plays....I'm in a jealous awe of what a talent she is....
5. Miami Ink on TLC - I checked out the tattoo gallery on the site and actually found a tattoo that I would consider getting (whatever you do, do NOT spill the beans to my mother about that one......)!

Dig the tattoo. Would you get it on the upper arm, like the photo?
Why are mothers so uncomfortable with a little ink? I told my mother I was thinking of getting a tattoo (in part just to tease her, but I have thought about it. Call it a midlife crisis, if you will!) not so very long ago, and she told me she'd be "very upset." I find this odd...
If I get the tattoo, it would be that sparrow but with its mirror image right across from it because it's bad luck to get a sparrow tattooed without its "mate", and besides the symmetry might look nice. I would probably get it somewhere on my back, though I'm only considering it :)
I understand my mom's hatred of tattoos - when she was little, her babysitter was an old woman who had a tattoo that basically turned into a blob with age. Apparently it looked super gross.....
But I think I want one anyway :)
EEEEWWWW!
*shakes head to erase mental picture of old lady with blobby tattoo*
LOVE the sparrow tattoo -- the greens Ami used are gorgeous :)
Thanks Missy! I love the green too, the shading is perfect :)
I just may be getting a tattoo soon......shhh!
