A quick update on our summer issue...

Hello again!

We are running a bit behind schedule with the summer issue...No need to query; we'll finish responding to all the submissions shortly. I'm hoping to have the issue online this July. We'll post a list of contributors for the upcoming issue soon.

Thanks!

Your overwhelmed and totally stressed (but still inspired by the wonderful things that appear in her poetry inbox) editor.

aka Susan :)

Reminder :)

We're accepting submissions for the Marked issue through April 30th. The deadline is approaching fast, so if you're thinking about sending a little poetry or prose our way, be sure to do so within the next couple of days!

If you've sent me a submission and are waiting to hear back, I hope to finish reading and responding by the end of May, at the very latest. We'll go live sometime in June with some absolutely fabulous poetry, prose, and artwork.

Sorry for our overall lack of blogginess! Mel & I have been super busy with work-type stuff. You know how it is...

Hope everyone is enjoying Springtime!

Best of the Net, 2008!

A big congratulations to blossombones contributors Wayne Shannon and Amy Fetzer Larakers, whose work has been selected for the Sundress Publications Anthology, Best of the Net, 2008!

Be sure to check out Amy's poem "It begins in anise and ends in Asheville" and Wayne's short fiction "Sin Nombre"....We agree...It's some of the best writing available on the Net!

Call For Submissions: The "Marked" Issue

We'd like writers to be creative in their interpretation of the theme. However, to get you started consider the following: scars, tattoos, brand names, labels, and the various symbols women wear on their bodies to both create and deconstruct their identities. We are accepting submissions from February 1st, 2009 through April 30, 2009.

More details are available here.
